Classic Homemade Hummus

Hummus is the humble dip, ready and waiting for your fresh veggie sticks, pita bread, or spread in a sandwich or wrap. Hummus is easy to make, as long as you have a blender. Feel free to play with the ingredients, adding more garlic, flavoured oils or fresh herbs.

Serves: 6 / Ready in: 10 mins / Difficulty: 2/5 / Storing: Can be stored in a sealed container for up to 3 days.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas (400g)

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Glug of olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 3 tbsp tahini

  • salt

  • pinch of paprika

Method

Simply add all ingredients apart from paprika to a blender and whizz together until smooth. If the consistency is too thick add more oil or a splash of water until you get to your desired smoothness.

Once blended, serve in a bowl, sprinkle over the paprika, and add another glug of olive oil.

Enjoy!
