Chocolate and roast hazelnut overnight oats

These oats will fix any chocolate cravings, the yoghurt gives it a creamy taste and roast hazelnuts give a nutty bite.

Serves: 1 / Ready in: 10 mins + overnight soaking / Difficulty: 1/5 / Storing: Can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 30g chocolate protein powder (optional, add more cocoa powder if not using)

  • 1/2 banana, mashed

  • 200 ml almond or oat milk (can use cow milk if preferred)

Toppings

  • Cacao nibs

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp roasted hazelnuts (If you can’t buy already roasted, simply roast hazelnuts in the oven at 200 until roasted)

  • 2 tbsp Greek or natural yoghurt (plant-based is also great)

Method

Mix together the oat ingredients in a bowl then transfer to a Tupperware. Add the topping and leave overnight in the fridge. Take out the next morning and enjoy!
